Crypto casinos in Poland: one legal casino and a blocklist

Poland has exactly one legal online casino, and the state runs it. Every other online casino, crypto or not, is outside the law there.

What the law says

Under Poland’s Gambling Act, online casino games are a state monopoly. Total Casino, operated by the state owned Totalizator Sportowy, is the only legal online casino. Private companies can be licensed for online sports betting, but not for casino games.

How it is enforced

The Ministry of Finance keeps a public register of domains offering gambling without a Polish licence. Internet providers must block the listed domains and payment providers must stop serving them. Offshore casinos respond by changing addresses, which is a reliable sign a site is on the register.

Where crypto fits

Crypto casinos that accept Polish players are offshore and unlicensed in Poland. Paying in crypto avoids the payment block. It does not make the site legal, and Polish law also provides for penalties for players who use unlicensed sites.

What that means for you

If a site other than Total Casino offers you online slots or roulette in Poland, it is not licensed there. You have no local regulator to turn to if it refuses to pay.
